Dramatis Personae
To help you keep track of who is who in the Wrong Dog Blog . . .
- Augusta: Anne’s dear departed bunny, who was of regal temperment and lived to be nine years old. She hated the Nonwashing Barbarian and had to be kept separated from him for his safety.
- Bianca: Anne’s boss and friend (yes, the two are possible!)
- Caroline: One of Sunny’s handlers in a program that allowed him to visit retirement homes.
- Helen: Anne’s therapist and friend
- Fred: Anne’s landlord, hence an object of great fear
- The Ice-Cream Woman: A woman who, went visiting a neighbor of Anne’s and meeting Anne for the first time, suggested that Anne take the neighbor, the Ice-Cream Woman, and the Ice-Cream Woman’s son all out for ice cream.
- Joh: Anne’s sister and usually friend ^_^. A devoted cat person, but fond of woofi so long as they belong to someone else and aren’t too pushy about begging for food.
- Lily: Anne’s college roommate and (amazingly given that) friend
- Lucy: One of Sunny’s handlers in a program that allowed him to visit retirement homes. She and Anne are still in occasional touch now that she’s out-of-state at vet school.
- Dr. M (aka Michiru): Anne’s friend, and a difficult entry to write because she’s hard to summarize: an individual of many interests and talents. A veterinarian, she kindly puts up with many critter care questions from Anne.
- Meatman: Sunny and Anne’s downstairs neighbor for one year, who often brought meat scraps up for a very grateful woofus
- Michiru: See Dr. M
- The Neighbor: Once a friend but now far too intrusive in Anne’s life. Still needs to learn the basic mine/not-mine boundaries familiar to every five-year-old.
- Sable: Bianca’s sister and business partner and friend of Anne. She and Anne often compare woofus notes, Sable having a cute and manipulative beagle.
- Sally: One of Sunny’s handlers in a program that allowed him to visit retirement homes.
- Sam: One of Sunny’s handlers in a program that allowed him to visit retirement homes, although she would have taken him to a girls’ home if things had gone off as planned.
